She is "Petite"

Ari had her two month checkup this week (I know she is almost 3 months, Mommy is a little behind on life) and she had her first rounds of shots. :( Super sadders. I know most of you have already been through that, but I just feel for her. She was being such a good girl, content to have the doctor look in her ears/mouth and whatnot. Then all the sudden she is stabbed with three needles, no wonder she screamed. I haven't ever heard her scream so high and loud. It was traumatizing for her. Good thing children tend to forget fast, it didn't take her too long to calm down.

She came in at 9.8 lbs, only in the 5th percentile. The doctor said he wasn't concerned at this point, but we will watch it. She seems to be content with the food she is getting and she is growing, so we will keep an eye on it. He said she is just 'petite' which I guess is a good thing. We like her petite, but I hope she isn't doomed to being any shorter than her mom, I think I was short enough, wouldn't have liked being any shorter. Doesn't help your basketball game very much! ;) Maybe she won't be a ball-er like her mom.
