New Bathroom

So here it is, the new bathroom. Sorry it took so long, I only had a green shower curtain and it did not do justice to the floor so I just couldn't take a picture yet. You understand right? We LOVE our new floor although my little feet freeze in the morning when I step barefoot on it.

Above is a picture to kind of show the new walls. The paint coloring is not exactly how it looks in real life due to the camera, but pretty close. It looks a little yellowish in the picture. It is more brown in real life. See coloring picture below, it is closer to what it really looks like.

And of course, a close up of the pretty floor. So here is the story on the tile. Our landlords picked it out and at first when we showed me one square of it, I really didn't like it that much, but once we had it all down and on the floor, it looks really good. I am glad that he picked it out because I wouldn't have picked it myself. :) I want to get a shower curtain that I really like, and I was first thinking dark brown, but now I think it might be too much brown with the brown walls and gray/brown tile. Any suggestions? I bought the one that is up at Wal-Mart but it seems too much cream or something. It is just plain. Any ideas on what color towels should I get? Do I need an accent color? I know someone out there has some good ideas....please share!

Well other than our bathroom, life is pretty normal. I made cinnamon rolls in my Bosch yesterday (don't be deceived and think I bake often, it is only the 3rd time I have used my Bosch since I have been married (almost two years)) (I know, I am bad) (I will be better though) and they really didn't turn out like I wanted them to. I think because I was kinda winging it because I had been given a bread/pizza dough recipe and so I made pizza with half the dough and was told you could make cinnamon rolls with the other half and so the cinnamon/brown sugar/butter stuff kinda melted out the bottom and since I didn't have them filling up the whole pan, they were swimming in butter/brown sugar/cinnamon sauce that covered the whole bottom of the pan. :{ Oh well, the pizza turned out good. But it is all about the trying, right? I can only get better, at least I hope.

Don't forget to give me suggestions on the decorating, I need some help!

Okay, since I am married to an artist, I call on his expertise to validate my own opinion. I think you could get away with a dark shower curtain if you lightened up with another color, like towels in yellow or a bright raspberry color. So that is my suggestion. Take it for what it is worth. Seth did a great job on the floor, it looks beautiful! Post some pictures once you've decided. Love you guys!

I love this shower curtain and think that it might add a little light to the room. I love the mix of blue and brown...

I love that changes in your bathroom. What a great hubby you have to do all that!!

I love the bathroom and love the curtain. It looks more white to me and personally I'm a fan of white towels. There is something about being able to just bleach them that I love and to climb out a shower into a big old fluffy white towel that you know is clean because it looks clean and crisp is the best! It might help lighten the room? I guess you now know what color all the towels in our house are--including dish towels. I'm a bleacher through and through!

I don't have any good decorating tips (I could use some help in that area myself), but I love the new tile. It looks very classy!
