I think more than the good deals, it is about doing something out of the normal, or keeping up tradition, or even just getting excited for the Christmas holiday. I am sure there are some great deals to be had, but I just can't bring myself to campout in the cold long lines. I guess it is pretty exciting for some people though. When we got home at 2:30 in the morning, Amy headed back out to go to Target and Kohls. I decided to go to bed. It took me a good 30-45 minutes just lying there in bed to finally fall asleep, I guess I was all excited to have Seth try on his new jeans and hoped he liked them....they are really cute. So I guess I understand a little bit more the big hoop-la, but not really. Anyone care to enlighten me on other reasons they love Black Friday?
My Grandpa McArthur had his 90th birthday this month on the 1st. We had a big party for him in his childhood home (located next door to my parent's home). He had a huge showing, it was like a wedding reception times 2. He was just glowing the whole time and had such a great time. It was funny because he loves to tell stories and so he had a long line of people waiting to wish him happy birthday because he just couldn't let people walk away without hearing a story. He is one amazing man with an AMAZING memory. I don't know how he remembers details from years ago, but he does. He still makes bread and scones every week. Seth and I got to go and eat scones on Saturday morning and it has been awhile since we had been able to do that, so it was good to go. I love that man!

So I always thought that you looked the most like Mom, but I for the first time, I can see that you totally look like a McArthur! You are Grandpa's granddaughter... You lucky lady. Way cute picture of the two of you!
I don't get the black Friday thing either. You are almost always find good deals on-line all the time now. I do agree that it is a tradition thing. Some family just do it as a "girl thing". Love the picture! What wonderful grandpa!

Hi Mac! Noah and I decided to walk down to a nearby shopping center in an attempt to get some deals, but it didn't really pan out. As soon as we got to the store, we heard, only 30 more minutes for 20% off— so we frantically we around the store trying to save but it turned out to be more stressful. So, in my opinion, black friday is over-rated. Noah and I did most of our Christmas shopping online this year anyway and got great deals.
So, what are your plans for the holiday? I'd love to catch up!
